DIG IG aims to make a positive contribution to local communities wherever we operate. Our commitment to local employment and training is part of this approach, and our team has also participated in a number of initiatives to bring benefits to the community both in the UK and overseas.
We appoint Community Liaison Officers, who are responsible for consulting with and building relationships with local community stakeholders.
Wherever possible we aim to participate in initiatives to bring benefits to local communities. We encourage our staff to get involved and generate ideas for community improvement and investment.
Community and CSR initiatives our team has contributed to include:
- Construction of training academies at our projects
- Construction of schools and children’s centres
- Construction of hospitals and medical facilities
- Construction of boreholes to provide communities with clean water
- Providing funding for teachers and doctors
- Charity fundraising and donations to local communities
- Providing sports equipment, facilities and sponsoring local sports events.
